I use USB connection as with wifi I get enormous lag. Some test results which of most might be because me not understanding the settings:
Okay now I have my head mount tested shortly.
Trinus steam vr update#
I will update here after I get the head mount. Then launch War Thunder and try whether it works Launch TrinusVR server SW and choose Wifi/USB. If you use Wifi just make sure your phone is in same network as your PCĦ. If you use the USB tethering, set it up in phone and turn off the data traffic or follow help in server SWĥ. Set War Thunder to launch in Windowed mode 1024x768 (lowest resolution just to see it works)Ĥ.
Trinus steam vr install#
Install the TrinusVR app from Google Play (I used the free version as I don't have head mount yet to test whether it is good)ģ. Install the TrinusVR server SW on your PCĢ. The instructions in the server SW are really good.ġ. Trying this is easy and free, even without the head mount. And what I like is that you can use this with all the games and software as TrinusVR streams the active window to to your phone ready to be shown with the Google Cardboard or such head mount. You do not need any special tinkering in your PC or in phone. Even the USB tethering was no-brainer as it does not require any rooting. Still need to fine tune the head tracking as I did not find the setup that would work smoothly with me. (But with USB connection it is very good!) I could not get reliable and fast connection. With wifi you need to have really good setup. Anyway you can first try the free version and decide. I think it is reasonable price as this seems to be brilliant sw. If you feel that 5.57 euros is too much of the app then it is a con. Works with any game, no need any support from game for VR, only for head tracking. Wifi connectivity if you want to have wireless. Or you can use any other head tracking with it if you want, e.g. Please note I did not yet try this with head mount so I cannot judge how this works with them. So give it a shot and let me know what you think! I think Trinus VR works great not only as an immersion experience but also to better track your targets from the cockpit. You will also find the download links there.
Trinus steam vr how to#
Here's some detailed info on how to configure War Thunder for VR: If you don't have a headmount you can still check out the app and decide if you want to go ahead and buy one (Cardboard is less than 10$, although you can buy a better headmount for just a bit more).
Trinus steam vr android#
The best part is that is readily available for download, so you can start playing with it today.Īll you need is an Android smartphone, Google Cardboard (or similar headmount) and the Trinus VR server and client. To be brief, it is basically a low cost alternative to the Oculus Rift, using your own phone. That said I wanted to mention this app I am currently developing called Trinus VR (previously known as Trinus Gyre). I think the whole system is quite well designed and keeps you on that 'just one more game' state. But I also like all the research and tuning options you can play with.
Arcade mode is a great quick hands on flying deathmatch. thanks for the help and the infos provided, i appreciate the help from this community. As a recent War Thunder pilot, I must say I'm really enjoying it. Sorry for the rant, its late and i'm just pissed. hopefully PS5 comes around with a much better hardware ready for vr, then i can jump back to vr again.
Trinus steam vr drivers#
i don't want to waste my time with updates and drivers or any of this errors and trouble shooting. i got other things to do, work and a family to take care. Thanks for the help anyway, but i'm done with PCVR. but my psvr headset is already on with the blue lights. Worst thing is i tried iVRy as recommended, but when turn on my headset, the hmd has a usb disconnect logo, and vr status says that steam vr is on standby and waiting for my hmd to wakeup. still only Raceroom is playable in vr for me. i followed your instructions carefully, but i still got the same results as previously posted.
Didn't buy it because already had Trinus and that worked for me.it seems that i am not allowed to use vr for PCars2 or even Asseto Corsa. I tried it during beta testing and it worked good. When launching the game instead of just "Play" on the launch button it should say "Play in VR" and it should launch directly in VR.Īlternatively there is a new PSVR app called iVRy that you can get in the steam store.
Start Trinus, once calibration is complete start steam vr.Ĥ. If this is not done will give you red screen for sure.ģ. 1.Display should be set to extend desktop to this display.Ģ.Open Trinus, were it says headset display make sure you select the correct display number that you PSVR is set too.
